Children's Workshops for 2009–2010

Enhance acting ability, character building, self-esteem and teamwork through imagination exercises and acting games. Learn audition techniques needed to land that special role. Experience the technical aspects of theatre including stage managment, lights, sound, costumes, props and set design and decoration.

At the end of the session, an on-stage performance will be presented for family and friends. Create, rehearse and act out a story. Get a chance to be appointed Jr. Director and Jr. Stage Manager. Each session will differ slightly for those who wish to enroll in successive classes.

Parents of our young theatre workshop apprentices appreciate the fact that the children are developing skills in a variety of categories in a fun environment. They are delighted when they discover that the children are making friends for life through their involvement in the arts. They are impressed by our talented and dedicated staff, and are invited to the children's stellar performance at the end of each session.

Children in our workshops enjoy:

  • the growth in their self esteem and confidence
  • the lifelong friendships they have made
  • the excellent public speaking skills they develop
  • the development of leadership skills
  • the enjoyment of a sense of community often lacking in today’s busy world
