Buy a Brick, Help “Build” the Footlighters Playhouse!

By Patricia Solecki

If you haven’t stopped by the Burlington County Footlighers’ building at 808 Pomona Road in Cinnaminson lately, you really should make the time.  By the side of the main building itself, the Facilities committee has built a really beautiful little bricked courtyard with benches for seating, antique-styled streetlights and a beautifully maintained garden of flowers, shrubs and trees.

Having purchased the building for its own use in May, 2002, the Burlington County Footlighters is now offering you the opportunity to help maintain and thus ‘build’ its historic building.  You may purchase for the tax-deductible amount of $100 a brick which may be engraved, a personalized paving brick forever displaying perhaps your family, your corporation, or perhaps in remembrance of a loved one.  You may have attended the building when it was formerly known as the Phillips school, and would like to always retain those fond school day memories.

This is also the beginning of the holiday gift giving season.  Why not give a gift that will last forever? Perfumes will eventually fade, exactly how many ties does Uncle George need, and does Mom really need another new robe? Give the gift that’s one size fits all – and tax deductible, too!

In addition to having the paver brick personalized, the Footlighters maintain inside the theater a special donors’ book which lists the names of all brick donors.  Each brick purchased can be engraved with letters, numbers and spaces, not to exceed three lines of thirteen characters per line.  The actual position of your text on the brick will be determined at the time of engraving.

Putting your thoughts of a loved one or organization on the Footlighters’ bricks is a wonderful way to commemorate the birth of a new child, grandchild, an anniversary, birthday, corporate highlights, or just a special tribute to someone special.  For more information on participating in this program, please contact Facilities Director Pamela Grimme at 856/829-6488.  The future can be yours with the donation of a brick!
