Footlighters Contributes to the Surrounding Communities

  • Continual investment in the preservation of the historic Phillips School, one of the oldest buildings in Cinnaminson, deeded in 1906.
  • We bring a cultural and educational institution to the community for more than 65 years.
  • Because of our commitment to children’s educational exposition to live theatre as evidenced by dozens of letters from teachers and students alike, including:
    -  (4) $300 scholarships for summer camp (3 wks.)
    -  $200 award to a Cinnaminson high school graduate pursuing theatre.
  • Year-round co-existing with the community through daily usage of our driveways and surrounds to gain access to Wood Park's facilities.
  • Allowing the community school buses to park on our grounds in between runs for nine months of the year.
  • Allowing the use of our driveways and parking for hundreds of cars for all Wood Park sporting events and church carnival from early spring through the Thanksgiving tournaments.
  • Receiving the Burlington County Times 'Best Award’ for theatre as voted by the readers for many years.
  • Hosting disabled children mid-week from Burlington and Camden County cerebral palsy centers to see our family productions free of charge for many years.
  • Displaying local area artist’s work in our Grand Hall gallery 4 times a year for the past 20 years.
  • Displaying the art and photography of the Cinnaminson students during the 16 performance run of the Children’s Show each March.
  • Using our Playhouse as an alternate site for inclement weather during the 7 week Wood Park Summer Concert Series free of charge.
  • Donating free play tickets to many triboro charitable functions to be used for auctions and fund-raising activities.
