Footlighters is an all-volunteer, diverse group of people who love theater.

Footlighters is a successful, all-volunteer theatrical group that has been producing quality entertainment for over 68 years, and we are always glad to welcome new people, of any ethnic group, into our organization. In fact, we would like to have some members of diverse groups on our board, and on the technical staff, so that we can become aware of ways to attract a more diversified audience. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome.

Actors, directors, technicians, stage crew, and board members all contribute their time and talent without monetary compensation. The money that we make goes back into producing and promoting the plays, expanding our audience, and maintaining and running our Playhouse. Our primary compensation is the pride we take in our productions, and experiencing our audience's enjoyment and appreciation of them.

How about joining us either in working on a play, or helping us operate some other aspect of the organization? You don't need theatrical experience. We will teach you.

You can staff the ticket office, help mail flyers, and serve refreshments during intermission. If you have administrative experience, you might be interested in one of our board positions, or if you are artistic, you might help with set decoration, make-up, costumes, sound or lighting design. If you have any interest in theater, Footlighters can provide you with knowledge and experience that is both valuable and rewarding.

The best way to get involved in our organization is to visit our How to Volunteer page. Remember, there are no minimum hours of time required to be a volunteer. Work where you like, as often and as much as you like.

If you are hesitant to talk to us by yourself, bring a friend or parent. Or, if you know someone who is looking for a hobby or other creative outlet, have him/her call us. You can also express an interest by indicating fields of interest on our website mailing sign-up page. Obviously, there is no obligation for inquiring about us, and you and/or your friend may find a new source of real enjoyment and friendship.
